'Rock Candy' to be new cinema offering in autumn

Iran film 'Rock Candy', having Iranian superstar shahab Hosseini as cast, is to be screened this autumn.

Directed by Pegah Arzi, the film is on the waiting list of domestic cinema theaters to be screened.

The flick enjoys a social theme, depicting the lives of some city people. It, in fact, focuses on the lives of a couple and a teenage girl.

Shahab Hosseini, who plays the role of the husband, is a multitalented Iranian actor. He has so far won a number of prestigious national and international awards including Best Actor award for the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

ifilm viewers must remember him from the series 'Zero Degree Turn', 'Cold Fever' and 'Passion to Fly'.

He has also been in a number of ifilm weekend movies such as 'Superstar', 'The Sweet Taste of Imagination' and 'Dream Interpretation'.

Nazanin Farahani, Setayesh Mahmoudi, Masoumeh Rahmati and Tina Asadi are three other cast members of the film.

'Rock Candy' is considered to be the directors first feature film.
